Condamnation de Moumouni Dieguimdé aux Etats-Unis : Ce qu’en dit un journal américain

Le ministre Moumouni Guiguemdé a-t-il été condamné aux Etats-Unis pour une affaire de corruption de douanier en rapport avec une tentative d’exportation frauduleuse d’avions ? La question fait débat depuis que des agents de son ministère ont décidé de demander son départ du gouvernement. Au cours d’une conférence de presse ce dimanche matin, M. Guiguemdé a admis son implication dans cette affaire mais nie avoir fait la prison. Businessman Sentenced

A Gambian executive who tried to bribe a Customs Service agent into releasing two military helicopters he was trying to illegally export to his homeland was sentenced to four months in prison on Tuesday by a federal judge in Miami.

Foutanga Dit Babani Sissoko also must spend an additional four months confined to his home under the sentence by U.S. District Judge Michael K. Moore. In addition, Sissoko was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine.

Sissoko was buying aircraft to launch the West African airline Air Dabia, and three associates promised to pay customs agent Jeffrey Outlaw $30,000 to release the seized helicopters.

Also sentenced were Serge Comminges, 39, of France, a longtime Sissoko employee, to 4 1/2 months in prison and a $5,000 fine ; Mariama Darboe, 40, a Gambian who acted as a French translator for Sissoko, to four months of house arrest and three years of probation ; and Moumouni Dieguimde, 35, a native of Burkina Faso, also in West Africa, who translated for Comminges.
Dieguimde was given four months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Sissoko, Comminges and Dieguimde were all were ordered deported after release from prison.
